Just received the FREE Deadcat by RODE for the Rode VideoMic Master . I was sufficiently fortunate to get receive a greeting card in my package stating that easily registered on the internet for the extensive 10 year manufacturer\’s warranty , I\’d get a free Deadcat. Sadly , they didn\’t send out it without delay but soon after two phone calls to their support services reps from the U .Ersus ., I got this in the send two days afterwards
Needless to say , it functions . You will want to ensure you\’ve got a great grip on your own VMP before positioning the deadcat upon , as it is a strong fit along with won\’t just slide in it . Other than that , that catches the actual wind properly and behaves as a nice protect to also defend the mic/foam dashboard or windscreen from the exterior elements . I might hate to make it in the rain , nonetheless . This is not planning to protect the actual mic by damage . However , water will certainly cling to this particular windscreen above all else . Other than that will , it\’s a good little item to have that i\’m sure it\’ll come in handy with many more situations .FYI, this was no Amazon buy . I bought our VMP at a community pro music shop .
Terribly too costly for a tiny fuzzy robert cover . Worked effectively for me in most recent Ten to fifteen mph sea breezes . No wind noises picked up simply by microphone . Rode mics offer excellent sound and make quality , quality price point and a very good warranty …nevertheless , their equipment remain high-priced .
